SOHO Beauty Case Review

I have way too many products that I sometimes don't know how to organize them either for storage or travel. I do have an existing traincase, but it looks dingy as it is already old and really not of good quality. That's why I was especially happy to try out the Squared Large traincase from SOHO Beauty Cases called Diamond In The Rough, as it is in that shiny classic silver color for train/beauty cases. It looks very professional and yet trendy enough for budding young makeup gurus to use.

I am so happy that it is quite large as it is roomy enough to fit all my essentials when I travel or go to a friend's house to do her makeup. It measures 11.75"L x 8.75"W x 9.5"H and I understand that this is the largest size of beauty case that SOHO carries. It has multi-tier accordion shelving which is perfect to store your small to medium beauty products in so you can see them at a glance, and the bottom compartment fits a lot of your makeup palettes, foundations, skincare stuff, and other tools you would need for your makeup application. It also has a security lock and a fold-up handle. It retails for $39.99. Not bad at all for a roomy, real sturdy, classic and chic-looking beauty case!

I actually plan to use this to store some of my excess nail polishes, but I will definitely be using this for travel. The pictures below give you an idea of how much space this little puppy has, with room to spare:

My MAC mineralize skinfinishes on the left side of the photo are two-tiered, meaning there is one more compact under every MSF you see.

Left side: The top tier accordion shelf holds 6 compacts (my MSFs and beauty powder). The second tier holds Bare Escentuals mineral blushes and eyeshadows, and MAC eyeshadow palettes (two palettes stacked) and my Venomous Villains blush in Bite of An Apple.

Right Side: On the top tier are my MAC dazzleglasses and superglasses (around 10 of these), an Illamasqua blush, one MAC blush and one MAC mineralize skinfinish. On the lower tier are my Urban Decay Naked palette and Bare Escentuals mineral shadows.

Central lower compartment: This deep well fits 12 of my MAC 15-pan eyeshadow palettes, 1 MAC blush palette, 6 full size liquid foundations and one full size MAC Fix+ spray (pardon the white residue on the black surfaces, I swear they were cleaned properly).

All in all, this is one sturdy, large beauty case that I would be proud to carry around. I am liking the large storage space, convenient accordion-style shelving, and good quality material. I also like the fact that SOHO is offering a wide variety of styles, designs, colors and sizes that will suit everyone's style, from that of a trendy teen to that of a no-fuss, professional makeup artist. The affordable price ain't that bad either.
