Carmex Healing Lotion and Cream Review and Giveaway

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Carmex®. All opinions are 100% mine.

I am a fan of Carmex lip balms (I have one in my purse always), so I was pleasantly surprised when I found out that they now have lotion and cream in their lineup.  I was looking for a soothing, non-greasy, light-scented or unscented cream I can slather on my hands before I go to bed, because I don't want to go to bed with sticky skin or heavy scent on my hands.  I had the opportunity to try the Carmex® Healing Lotion and Carmex® Healing Cream, and the latter is the perfect cream for my hands at bedtime.

Left to Right: Healing Cream, Healing Lotion

Both of the lotion and cream have non-greasy formula which I welcome.  It instantly moisturizes the skin without the greasy and sticky feel.  It also moisturizes the driest spots like elbows, heels, and knees effectively.  I also like that it has a light, pleasant, non-cloying scent.

The difference between the two products is that the cream is a bit thicker and more emollient, but both have the same non-greasy formula and light scent.  I have tried the lotion on my body and it moisturizes the entire body well, and the light scent does not clash with my fragrance.

I prefer the cream and I appreciate it more because it's my go-to hand cream at the moment.  It moisturizes dry skin without making the fingers sticky and does not transfer to keyboards, cellphones, etc.

As for the packaging, I welcome the squeeze tube with the flip cap.  It is convenient and perfect for travel.  I brought this to my trip to L.A. and it didn't spill or anything.

The best part is the price.  The retail price for 4 oz. cream or and 5.5 oz of lotion is $5.99 each.  They can be found at Walgreens stores, Walgreens.com and drugstore.com.

The downside probably is that if you like your moisturizing lotion or cream to be greasy (believe me, I know some people who do, because for them greasiness is a gauge to know if their product is moisturizing or not), this is not for you.  This makes your skin soft and supple, but not sticky.

*Carmex does not test on animals.

I've been a big fan of their lipbalms (it's the only thing that works with my chapped lips and windburns) so I'm pretty much interested in trying the healing lotion or cream on my dry hands.

I follow by google reader. I would love to try the healing cream because I wash my hands a lot at work and once winter sets in they get incredibly raw and chapped. A non-greasy hand cream sounds perfect to keep in my desk!

i would want to win it because looking for a non-greasy but moisturizing lotion is sooooooooooo hard! the only one that i have loved is the skin md shielding lotion though i dont use it on my face but only on my feet because that is the driest spot on my body. but using an expensive lotion like that seems like a waste though it does the job.

2. Why do you want to try the Carmex Healing Lotion or Healing Cream?

My daughter and I are both suffering from skin asthma, but my daughter's the worst. We've been to more than a dozen dermatologist and allergiologist to no avail. Carmex lip balms works for my super dry lips and I'm hoping this will work for her arm and forearm as well, breaks my heart that after i've spent more than thousands of pesos and religiously monitoring her, her allergy's still the same.

I'd like to win because now that's it's getting cold, I realized how poorly my hand cream works. I am actively looking for a good one for this season.

I would like to try Carmex Healing Lotion or Cream because I have my hands in so much bleach and detergent all the time, that the skin actually cracks open and my hands bleed. I cannot use gloves when I work as they interfere with my efficiency. I have used Carmex for my lips for years and assume that any lotion or cream my by them would have to work great. I am an email subscriber. crystesmom(at)yahoo(dot)com
