Leila Lou Fragrance Review

I've had the opportunity to try fragrance from Leila Lou that is housed in a very simple but appealing roller ball tube. I really like the packaging- from the clean, crisp white cap and label, to the unassuming but delicate font of the label's name.

The product itself is a summer fragrance - it evokes memories of warm summer nights walking along the beach. Its base notes are vanilla and cotton musk, with top and middle notes of citrus, pear, jasmine, and sweet-smelling grass. I was a bit overwhelmed at first whiff, but the dry-down is lovely and fruity-floral with a whiff of musk. It also reminds me of the clean scent of freshly-washed linen sheets. Staying power is quite good - a good five hours. It is a nice spring/summer scent.

If you like fruity-floral fragrances with a dash of musk and soap, try Leila Lou. I know some women really like its flirty, fun but clean scent. I personally like the pear, citrus and grass notes. I am more of a fruity (think Clinique Happy) kind of girl, so even though this is completely different from Happy, the citrus and fruity notes are kinda similar but not quite. However, if you are not into those fruit/floral-inspired scents with a dash of clean soap notes, this might not be for you. It is a nice summer fragrance, though, and it's especially good on warm days or balmy summer night dates.
