Announcement: Winners of the MAC Marine Life, Bronze Body Oil and Accentuate/Sculpt Powder Giveaway will be announced tomorrow, 6/22/10!
Some people find it hard to use both mineral and pressed eyeshadows in one eye look. Some find mineral eyeshadows cumbersome to use because they are loose and messy to apply. There is a technique on how to use mineral eyeshadows which I shall discuss today. For this look, I used two mineral eyeshadows from Aromaleigh: Zephyr's Breeze and Italian Ice. As I keep saying, I love Aromaleigh shadows because they are very pigmented, vibrant, and the products are very smooth and easy to apply. To highlight, I used MAC's Vanilla pigment.
I used MAC Humid, Greensmoke and Flourishing for the outer lid and crease.
For the cheeks, I used NARS Deep Throat blush. I am really loving this blush!
For the lips, I used MAC Superglass in Disco Blend over Bare slimshine.
Here is a step-by-step. All products MAC unless otherwise stated.
Apply Urban Decay primer potion in Sin on lid and lower lashline. Using a fluffy shader brush, apply Cash Flow paint pot on inner lid and Rollickin' paint pot on outer lid.
Using a slightly damp stiff shader brush like the 239 (I dampened it using Fix+ misting spray), apply Italian Ice by Aromaleigh on inner lid. Using the other side of the same brush, apply Zephyr's Breeze by Aromaleigh on outer lid.
Using the Sonia Kashuk blender brush, apply Humid on outer V.
Using the same brush, apply Flourishing and Greensmoke on crease and blend with the 224.
Blend the harsh edges of each shade using the 224.
Using Stila No. 5 brush, apply Vanilla pigment on browbone to highlight. Using a slightly damp flat lip brush (I used Coastal Scents'), apply Italian Ice on inner lower lashline. Wipe down brush and apply Humid on outer lower lashline. Apply Chromagraphic pencil in NW25/NC30 on waterline. Apply Urban Decay 24/7 liner in Zero on tightline. Apply L'Oreal Lineur Intense liquid liner (felt tip) on upper lashline.
Apply Red Cherry #15 false lashes. Apply mascara.
