Avon GlazeWear Lip Gloss Swatches and Review

I've had the chance to try Avon's Glazewear lip gloss. Avon proudly touts it as America’s best-selling lip gloss, and that Avon sells the equivalent of 8 Glazewears every minute. I think it's also probably because of the affordability of the product. Avon Glazewear retails for $6 a pop, but guess what! For the month of May, these are sold for $1.99. For that price, you can probably get the entire collection!

Avon Glazewear is available in 16 high-gloss shades (including SPF 15 Clear). It also comes in a variety of finishes: including Intense, Sparkle, Shine and Clear.

I tried three of the Glazewears, namely, Intense Plum, Mocha Latte and Tickled Pink. Intense Plum is from the, you guessed it, Intense finish group. It is pigmented and I like the shimmer on the lips as well. The Intense finish is the most pigmented out of the three I've tried. It operates like a liquid lipstick, so if you love color and shine, then this is for you. I am impressed by the color pay-off for a supposedly $6 (now $1.99!) lip gloss.

Mocha Latte is a favorite because I love the shimmery beigey-champagne color. It has the Sparkle finish and this will leave you with not much color but amazing shine. If you want natural-looking but luscious lips, try this one. It has some sort of micro-glitters that you can see in the tube, but they don't feel gritty or even obviously chunky on the lips. They just lend sparkle to the puckers without leaving obnoxious glitter bits.

Tickled Pink is the most natural-looking gloss out of the three. It's like your lips but better. It has the Shine finish and just gives subtle shine with no sparkle, and although it has a barely-there, natural finish, your lips will still look polished and presentable.

All in all, I was pretty impressed. For $6 a pop, you get a pigmented, sparkly or shimmery lip gloss depending on the Glazewear finish you choose. It is neither too tacky nor watery, and it comes in a see-through, no-frills tube with doe-foot wand applicator.
