Nail Stamp Art: Essie in Poppie Cock and Orly Rage
Monday, April 12, 2010
I received these cool "fauxnad" plates from Chez-Delaney.com. They are really huge plates that have these amazing large images that can be used even by those with longer nails. I used the ones that looked like the circles you can find in tree trunks, I believe.
I used Essie Poppie Cock for the base polish. It's a nice mid-brown creme that can be neutral enough for work. This was one of my very first Essies and I think I've had this for three years now, but it has not thickened at all and still applies and looks fresh.
I used Orly's metallic polish in Rage and I like that it almost blends into the base color so it doesn't look too in-your-face. The pictures above were taken under shade away from the sun so you can better see the pattern.
Under direct sunlight
I like this fauxnad under whatever lighting because the pattern is very subtle and yet the metallic finish of the image (thanks to Orly Rage) is sure to make a statement.
