The Shade Of U Reminisces: 2007 Holiday Look Contest and A Poll

I am just on a nostalgic mood while I was looking at some of The Shades Of U's best posts. The one thing I won't forget and probably one of the highlights of TSOU blog was when a Holiday Look contest was launched in December of 2007. There were a lot of entries and I even had a couple of my friends help me pick the winner. The Grand Prize winner was Christine from The Philippines. She won a MAC brush set and other scrumptious MAC prizes. Here's her winning look:

I had found out that Christine was one of the contestants of The Biggest Loser Asian Edition. She was later eliminated, but she is beautiful and had a lot of spunk, and I heard that she has lost a lot of weight. Here is her audition video. It's hilarious!

Christine, to my eyes you are still a winner. You're a talented artist and a beautiful person. You're as funny as hell too. Keep reaching for the stars! :-)

Here is our Popular Choice Winner for the Holiday Look Contest who garnered an impressive 25% of online votes cast. Her name is Andrea from Buenos Aires, Argentina and she did a beatiful Snow Queen Look:

When all the leaves have fallen, winter comes along and brings chilly winds, grey landscapes and hoards of snow. No need to fear though, holidays are around the corner! Snow, hot chocolate, presents, music, parties, Christmas trees, food and…her.

She waits with flushed cheeks and blood red lips. Her porcelain skin tingles with cold. She has frosty eyes which are pure white: snow flake covered lids and eyelashes like icicles. She is the Snow Queen.
