New ecoTOOLS 6 Piece Eye Brush Set and Bronzer Brush Review

I got a chance to try ecoTOOLs' new line of vegan, cruelty-free and environment-friendly cosmetic brushes.

Honestly, ecoTOOLS are some of my favorite makeup brushes. They are environment-friendly and affordable and yet chic and very presentable. The solid bamboo handles are to-die-for. It just looks effortlessly expensive (even though it's not). I am excited to review these new brushes for y'all!

Bamboo Bronzer Brush - SRP: $9.99

My favorite ecoTOOLS brush I think. When I saw this, I could hardly believe my eyes. It is as dense and as fat as some of the best bronzer brushes out there (think of the popular quintessential bronzer brush with the red handle!), for about one-fifth of the price of the latter! Instead of getting a plastic handle, you'll get a thick, solid bamboo one. (If you don't know by now, the bamboo is a highly sustainable plant and can grow fast and tall in no time, so there is an abundance of this.)

ecoTOOLS bronzer brush also has a thick, dense head made with vegan, cruelty-free, super soft hairs. When I say they're super soft, I really mean it! Take the brush, swipe it on your favorite bronzer, and brush the full head of soft bristles across the skin where the sun naturally hits, resulting in a warm, sun-kissed glow. The head is really dense as you can see in the photo above. I washed my brush and I didn't even see a hair shed. I can't believe I can get a bronzer brush as great as this for only ten bucks! And to think I had drooled over the red-handled bronzer brush but wouldn't get it because of the exorbitant price. Now I have ecoTOOLS which works wonderfully as a bronzer for a great price. I also use this to apply mineral makeup (love the dense head), and also to buff in blush to tone down pigment to create a natural lit-from-within look.

ecoTOOLS 6-Piece Eye Brush Set ($7.99)

This is a nice, compact, perfect-for-travel brush set that has all the tools a girl needs to achieve a wide variety of looks. It has five eye brushes, namely the Large Eye Shadow Brush, Angled Crease Brush, Petite Eye Shading Brush, Domed Highlighting Brush, and Smudge Brush. It comes with a cute natural hemp and cotton case.

The one thing I noticed is that the brushes are individually labeled, but their "higlighting brush" is actually a blender brush for me, and the "blender brush" is the one I use for highlighting. Oh well. Nonetheless, this is a great kit for travel or for overnight or weekend trips. I like all the brushes; they work well and the Smudge brush also works great to apply highlighter on the inner corners of the eyes or to apply shadow on the lower lashline. I use the domed brush to blend the eyeshadow colors together, and the big fluffy brush to highlight. It can also be used to apply a wash of color on the lid.

All in all, these are very good brushes. I especially love the bronzer brush. For the price, these brushes can't be beat.

Do you want to own some of these brushes? Stay tuned for The Shades Of U's ecoTOOLS Brush Set Giveaway. It's coming soon!

Ashwini-it's coming up real soon!

Khymm- yay for another ecoTools fan! =)

thiamere- I think I know what kind of synthetic brushes you're talking about. That's why I didn't get those e/s brushes. The hairs of this one are super soft and not stiff like the one you mentioned.
