OPI, Essie and China Glaze Nail Polish Haul, and OPI Off With Her Red Swatch

I went back to my favorite neighborhood nail polish supply store, and I again was like a kid in a candy store with wall-to-wall supply of nail polish like OPI, China Glaze, Essie, Misa, Color Club, and other brands. I am really liking reds and pinks right now, so my haul constituted much of these shades. I used to be afraid of wearing red on the tips, but I've gotten over my fear, since red is a classy, pretty color for the fingernails especially if the nails are on the short side. It's such a thrill to shop in this little store. The one thing I absolutely love about this nail polish supply store is the price. They actually sell wholesale to nearby nail salons, but they sell to the public for the same low prices. Take a look at my invoice:

I don't know why shipping method was "airborne", but I only used the car to get these. LOL OPI for $4? Essie for $3.50? China Glaze for freaking $2.50 each without the outrageous shipping cost of nail polish e-tailers? Am I dreaming? I'm in nail polish heaven!!

Here's what I got:

OPI Not So Bora-Boraing Pink- a cute rose-pink with slight shimmer that is very pretty. Would look great on my skintone, very nice for everyday use.

OPI Mauve-lous Memories is of course a mauvish-purple with sheen. Usually, mauves are categorized as a "mom color", but this one has a modern edge to it because of the purple undertones. Love it!

OPI Don't Know, Beets Me! is a light hot pink to my eyes. A cute Barbie pink.

(See rest of review and nail polish swatch after the jump)

OPI Tropical Punch- Cute red-pink, sort of watermelon color. I was really drawn to this. Can't wait to wear it. perfect for summer.

OPI Nantucket Mist - a nice neutral for work. It's like a beige-brownish rose, similar to Dolce de Leche but more on the bright side.

Essie Catwalk - It's a muted red that is sooo pretty because it's not as bright or garish as fire-engine reds, but is still very upbeat and perky. Love the finish as well.

China Glaze Shower Together is a beautiful teal, or is it peacock blue? Whatever it is, it makes me fall in love with blue nail polish more. Can't wait to use this.

OPI Off With Her Red! is from the new Alice in Wonderland collection. I was about to get the glitter polishes from this collection but I returned them because I don't really wear glitters much and they're a PITA to take off even with pure acetone. Anyways, Off With Her Red is a pretty tomato-red cream. I used to hate tomato-reds because I feel that the orange undertones looked hideous on my skintone, but I actually like it:

It's obviously red-orange which I never wear, but for some reason, it looked okay to my eyes.

Watch out for swatches of these polishes soon!

Nice haul! Where is this store? I always stop myself from buying from e-tailers once I see the insane shipping prices. It would be great if I could find an actual brick and mortar store with cheap nail polish.

A- it's a store here in my area. I don't think they ship out. Here's a tip: look for nail salons in your area and find out where they get their OPIs wholesale. Then go to the nail supply store and ask if you can buy wholesale. HTH! =)

Hey, would love if you do a swatch on OPI Tropical Punch. There are not a lot of swatches for the colour and I can't decide which to get. OPI tropical punch or CG high hopes.
