I've had the chance to try this Retro Chic Conditioning Potion, which is basically a conditioner for stressed-out, colored tresses. Here is a little tidbit from the brand regarding this particular product:
This product from Retro Chic uses vitamins and anti-oxidants to protect the hair. It was developed by Joshua Bernard, a professional hair artist, to restore damaged hair, lock in color, and provide lasting protection against the drying effects of harsh sunlight and chemical environments. To make this possible, Joshua has teamed with two of the world’s leading molecular scientists to develop the industry’s first "Microcapsule Remediation System" for hair conditioning.
My Take: The first thing that I noticed about the product is the pleasant smell. I don't like heavy fragrances in my hair products, so the light citrusy scent smells refreshing and it perks up my spirits to face a busy day ahead. The product is surprisingly easy on the hair, even though it is supposed to nourish the hair with moisture, vitamins and anti-oxidants. The light feel of the product is a huge plus for me because I have baby fine hair, so I usually skip any conditioning products because they make my tresses limp and flat. With the light feeling this product gives, it keeps my hair airy, fluffy and un-flat. Second, I have colored hair, so having a sulfate-free hair product in Retro Chic Conditioning Potion guards against stripping my hair of the color. Last but not the least, it really moisturizes my hair without making it lifeless and flat, and the light scent is heavenly.
The only downside I can think about this is the price. This retails for $16 for a 12 oz. bottle. It may be worth considering that this product is sulfate-free which doesn't strip my hair of dyes, coupled with the lightweight formula which, in my experience, didn't bog down my hair.
