Silvery Neutrals Using MAC Silverthorn Eyeshadow of Rose Romance
Thursday, May 7, 2009
Here's a look using my MAC Silverthorn eyeshadow from the Rose Romance collection. I absolutely loved the look the MAC MA used when I visited the MAC counter to collect some stuff from this collection. She wore Silverthorn on the lid with Tete-a-Tint on the crease, and a very thin line of liquid liner with false lashes.
I did a little variation on the look - I made my liner a little bit thicker, and I added MAC shadows in Patina and Mulch on the crease and outer V.
When we were in California, we went back to the Cabazon Premium Outlets for another round of shopping, as my parents complained that they really didn't have a chance to go shopping the first time we went there. This time, I snagged these three lip products from the Cosmetics Company Outlet (CCO). I fell in love with the two Estee Lauder lipsticks, especially with Soiree. I loved it so much that I bought another one on Ebay as a backup for relatively cheap ($12.50 including shipping). I wore Soiree in this look.
Just want to say how much I love Joppa Minerals' full coverage foundation in Medium-Light 2.5 on me. I am amazed at how it made my skin look flawless yet not overdone. I've been using Joppa for a long time now, but I am floored everytime I use it because it never fails to impress me. The flawless finish really made me a fan, and now that they created a new shade for my skintone, I'm loving it even more.
Here's a step-by-step illustration. All products MAC unless otherwise noted.
Apply Butternutty shadestick all over lid and on lower lashline. Smooth with finger. Using a stiff shader brush (I used the 239), apply Silverthorn on the lid.
Using the 224, apply Tete-a-Tint on the crease.
Like so.
Using Sonia Kashuk's blender brush, apply Patina on the crease and outer V. Add Mulch sparingly, blending into Patina and Tete-a-Tint.
Using the 224, blend the harsh edges. Add more Silverthorn if necessary and blend into the crease colors. Apply Pincurl on the browbone to highlight using Stila No. 5 brush.
Apply L'oreal Lineur Intense liquid liner on upper lashline.
Apply Red Cherry falsies #15. Apply mascara. Apply Urban Decay 24/7 liner in Zero to tightline and on waterline.
