Revlon Fantasy Lengths® False Lashes: A Review
Friday, March 20, 2009
I had this opportunity to try Revlon's NEW Fantasy Lengths® Maximum Wear Glue-On False Lashes, and I was so happy because as you can see in this blog, I love wearing falsies because I am not blessed with lush, thick lashes. I have short, sparse, stick-straight lashes, which might be in part due to my asian heritage. That doesn't mean I can't have an amazingly thick lashline. Revlon has a new crop of intensifying false lashes that are as good as they look.
Currently, there are two variants of the Fantasy Lengths: The Flirty and the Intensifying, the latter being the more dramatic of the two. The first thing I noticed when I wore these was that it felt SO light on my lashline. Usually, when I wear falsies, I could really feel how heavy it was, like an insect suddenly perched on top of my lids. I wore the more dramatic pair, Intensifying, and yet it still felt amazingly light. I really love how it feels and looks. I also like how it comes with the mini-glue which would be perfect for travel (just in case you forget to bring your glue). It was pretty easy to apply as well. I wore the Intensifying pair in the look below (Bright Spring Colors), and you can see how flawless each hair looks even on close up:
I am really loving the new Revlon brand of falsies. I guess the only downside is that there are only two kinds/designs of false lashes as of now, but I'm sure Revlon will come up with more variants. The fact that these feel very light on the lashline is a huge plus for me. It also doesn't make my eyes/lids itch unlike some brands that I've tried. I highly recommend them.

I am on lash addiction recently! and these looks wonderful you are right about variations :)
I used to wear lashes all the time when they were first popular 100 years ago, LOL.
I'm guessing if they make you itch it is likely the adhesive. I wonder if Revlon will package their adhesive separately. Of course, the lashes don't last forever, so probably about the time you'd need adhesive, the lashes are ready to be replaced anyway.
Do you cut yours to fit your eye?
Do you use an eyelash curler on your own lashes? If the lashes stick straight down, as some do, mascara will just hit your skin with every blink (as it does a friend of mine.)
I love falsies too as my lashes are hopeless =/ asian here too!
i have short lashes too
the worst part is i dont know how to put flashies on :(
and revlon's isn't available here :(
I wanna try these...a lot of bloggers have been reviewing them lately. They look very natural on you!
Nikki- welcome to the wonderful world of lash addiction! :D Love your new profile pic.
Karin- yes I cut them and I do curl my lashes. I don't think it's the glue that makes it itch because I use the same glue for all my falsies. I think it might be the way the hairs are cut, or maybe the kind of hair itself.
lyne- yeah sometimes we need help from falsies, especially for special occasions. :)
Lynn- hopefully Revlon expands this line soon; it's just a new product so hopefully it gets distributed to where you are eventually.
A. Rose- I think these would really look fab on anyone, and especially women like me with stick-straight short lashes would benefit from these.
Have you tried Flirty yet? If so, how'd those come out?
Fabuless Beauty- they worked out great. It was shorter in length than the other kind, and less dramatic, but it was perfect because it made my lashes look more natural.
