Madame Madeline and Coastal Scents Gel Liner Hauls

I ordered my gel liners last Saturday, and I got them Monday. Amazing huh? I was a little surprised because it took eight days for my Coastal Scents order to arrive the last time.

Here's 24K compared to Indianwood paint pot and Uppity fluidline from MAC. I'm glad I got 24K even though I already have Uppity because 24K is a deeper gold than Uppity.

Here's how Peach Bellini looked with Perky paint pot. Obviously, the former is darker.

To save you guys the effort, here are my other Coastal Scents' gel liner swatches:

NOTE: Grape Vine is actually INDIGO.

I also got some brushes together with my gel liners.

On the same day that I got my Coastal Scents haul, my seventeen pairs of lashes from Madame Madeline arrived. I love them!!! I got mostly natural-looking lashes as the ones I have from Red Cherry (I get them from this beauty supply store near my work) are a little on the dramatic side. I got some of these for 10% off, and they threw in an extra pair as a freebie. I love Madame Madeline! They have very nice falsies and the prices are very reasonable. This is my second time to order from them, and it's been another pleasant experience.

Is Peach Belini a matte?

I loove 24k and I bet you will too :)
It's a great gold color, and I love it paired up with Urban Decay's Half-Baked. I never used to like gold but wow do I now!

How do you like the silk white?
I've seen reviews complaining that it is hard to get an even application of the color.

I tried Sexy Pink today with UD Sellout and Aromaleigh BlackAngel and was pretty happy with it. Bright eyeliner can really be fun ;) I'm going to play with Grape vine tomorrow.

Wow thats a lot of lashes! Can you wear lashes multiple times?

I'm just grooling over Silk white and 24k gel liners! Nice! The falasies you ordered looks nice too. I've never worn falasies until last sunday for a l.o.t.d look. I still need more practice though. Anyway just want to say hi, was a lurker til now! BTW I LOVE your BLOG! :)

great haul! question: how are they comparable to MAC fluidlines? i tried MAD liners before and was greatly disappointed. :-( i love the vast color choices though! very tempting to order especially 24K since i missed out on Uppity!

Grape Vine caught the light oddly in that swatch. It's not actually that dark. It is a very shimmery mid-tone purple shade to me. I'm actually wearing it today ;)

Nikki- why too late? There's always a 2nd order. :-D

Phyrra- no it's not entirely matte like Silk White is. Peach B is more moist like Truffle. I haven't tried it on my lids though to see how it looks like. I believe I will like Silk White as in my experience, white and platinum open up my eyes and make them look less tired. Can you use it on the waterline, though, I wonder? Yes you can use lashes multiple times, but you need to clean the glue off with oil. I use emu oil. My Red Cherry lashes are so cheap though that sometimes I just wear them once.

mei- you are correct. Upon looking at my Grape Vine it looks like it is indeed Indigo. CS gave me the wrong product!!

mhean- Fluidlines are way better in terms of pigmentation and ease in application. I have to reapply the CS gel liners several times to achieve decent color payoff, and in the case of Deep Plum, I couldn't build the color at all. The best one I have that is pigmented is Truffle. CS gel liners are kinda like a cross between gel liners and cream shadows, they are not really as greatly pigmented as the fluidlines. I guess you really get what you pay for.

xphoenix06- aww thank you! =D I'm glad you stopped lurking and hope to see you back again!

Yes, I noticed your grapevine swatch was way too dark. I figured it was indigo. Grapevine is actually my favorite. Thank you SO MUCH for posting a swatch of peach bellini. I have perky and didn't think I needed this, but now I think I do. I dropped my CS mineralized concealer on the floor today, so I have to make an order anyway. Love your blog!!!

DSKNguyen- Thank you! I use 3 different cameras, but for my swatches I use a very old camera but takes the best closeups. It's a Fuji Finepix E550. It's clunky and big but it can double its resolution to 12 megapixels.

Pooja- I will keep that in mind for my next looks, thanks!

Liz W- thank you! Yeah I am craving for my Grape Vine, I just don't know if CS will replace it. Indigo is nice though for dramatic looks because it is dark, and very versatile.

Hi Aileen =)
Great haul, those gel liners look fab! Did you try using it as a base?

Hi Nanzy!

I haven't used it as a base yet, but the consistency is almost similar to the paint pots, so I'm pretty sure they are perfect as bases. :)
