Beautiful Girl and Aromaleigh Mineral Haul
Thursday, January 15, 2009
I've had these for a while now but it's only now that I've had time to post them. I got these right before Christmas when Aromaleigh and Beautiful Girl Minerals had their sales. I finally got Aromaleigh's full size Holiday Blast eyeshadows in Twinkling Lights and Almost Midnight. They are beautiful shades of green and purple. Of course, I was thrilled to get the gorgeous Elemental Lustres in Awe and Alloy, as well. They are beautiful metallic shadows that look amazing whether paired with neutrals, smoky colors, or just about anything. I also got their lipgloss in Enchant which is being discontinued. I am sad that that is so because I really like Aromaleigh's lipglosses. They have the coolest colors and a yummy choco-citrus scent and flavor that I love. They have good pigmentation and the finish is really luscious and glossy. I have seven of the old version of Aromaleigh's lip glosses in click pens. Though I am not a fan of the click pens, I liked the shades and the finish. Good thing they changed them to tubes with doe foot sponge applicators, but then again, too bad because Aromaleigh is discontinuing these.

I use emu oil and it is a miracle oil for me (I use it as a face moisturizer) and for DH who suffers from extremely dry skin. I've bought several big bottles of emu oil from Beautiful Girl during their holiday sale, and I'd thought of trying out their minerals as well. I bought several eyeshadow samples, some discontinued full size shadows and their Eternal Beauty eyeshadow set. I have not tried them yet but based on the samples, they are prettily pigmented and apply smoothly on the skin.
Compared to other mineral makeup company samples, these samples are pretty generous in size.
The owners are obviously fans of the Twilight series, so they named the shadows from the Eternal Beauty set after it. They are very pretty and go on smoothly and quite pigmented. The swatches were applied dry without a base.
I am loving these pretty neutral shades, especially Eclipse and Breaking Dawn. They are just the perfect neutral eye for me: Twilight to highlight, Eclipse on the lid, New Moon on the crease and outer V and Breaking Dawn to contour crease.

aww the colors are pretty and I love the names they use!!! From Twilight series! so cool!
Does the emu oil ever break out the skin on your face? Do you put it on the oil parts or only on certain parts of the face like the eyes?
Nikki- yes aren't they pretty? I am loving the gorgeous neutrals (and names)!
Kristy- For the Eternal Beauty (Twilight) shadows, I got the 3g jars for $9/set. I think for the other discontinued shadows, I got the 5g.
Chrystal- I am very acne-prone but emu oil never broke me out not once. It's controlling DH's psoriasis, it gives me super moisturized skin without flakies, I can go on and on about emu oil.
Oooh! You should do a tutorial with these colors and how you'd use them ;)
