Greens Using MAC Paint and Earthen Glow Mineral Shadows

Before paint pots, there were paints. MAC I believe is trying to discontinue most of the paints, but I just can't get over how amazing some of the colors look. I particularly love Base Light and Magrittes, and I had been forever lemming for Mauvism, Flammable and Stilife. So when I was able to swap for this amazing brand-new mini paint set with a 242SE brush, I was over the moon with excitement. This was I believe a holiday set a few years ago, but the paints are still fresh and not dried up. I got beautiful shades in Chartru, of course a chartreuse-colored paint, Art Jam, a deep burgundy shade, Stilife, a deadringer for Bare Study paint pot, and of course the beautiful lilac Mauvism which I had been lemming. I've never owned a 242 brush so the SE brush was a welcome treat.

See how amazing the hues are?

I used one of the paints to come up with the look for today. I likewise used my beautiful newly-acquired shadows from Earthen Glow Minerals. The photo above is a pic of most of the products I used for the eyes. By the way, I used my new Earthen Glow foundation in Yuan Yuan for this look and I was absolutely floored by how beautiful it melded on my skin and exactly matched my skintone. This is my perfect winter shade!! I am so in love with it.

I also used the gorgeous deep green in the Warm Eyes holiday palette called Grand Entrance.

All items MAC unless otherwise noted.

Apply UD primer potion all over lid and smoothed on brows. Apply Chartru paint on lid using the 242SE brush.

Using mixing medium, foil Earthen Glow mineral shadow in Kauai Kiwi on lid using the 239 brush.

Apply Earthen Glow mineral shadow in Golden Brown dry on outer V and crease using the 239.

Using Sonia Kashuk blender brush, apply Grand Entrance on outer V and crease. Blend colors together using the same brush.

Fill in brows (Anastasia eyebrow powder and pencil). Line eyes using Blacktrack fluidline. Use UD 24/7 liner in Zero to tightline and on water line. Apply falsies in Red Cherry #66. Apply mascara. Apply Kauai Kiwi wet on inner lower lashline and Grand Entrance on outer lower lashline. Highlight using Vanilla pigment.

Beautiful!
I always loved the MAC paints.
I have
Bare Canvas - unadorned champagne dressed with shimmer
Flammable - intense red with red shimmer
Chartru - frosty yellow green
Graphito - deep charcoal grey with silver shimmer

And in paint pots I have Delft, Bare Study and Blackground.

They need to make a paint pot the same or similar color to Mauvism.

Nikki- thank you! Which one can't you have? You can have the EG shadows via their website, and as for paints, well they still have them at many MAC stores here, or you can always use paint pots. ;-)

Phyaflyjones- aww thanks! I've always loved green and I'm glad I was able to encourage you to try it. :)

Phyrra- combined with your AL shadows, the paints/paint pots look smashing.

cjbrownsc- thanks! It's all just a matter of practice. I'm still learning as well.
