My Minerals Bath and Body Shadows and Earthen Glow Foundation

Here is my haul from Lisa of My Minerals Bath and Body, and I honestly love everything I got. I needed a back-up of that wonderful short-handled flat top Lisa so generously gave me months back, and I needed another one because it works so well with my full-coverage foundations like Pure Anada, Buff'd, Monave, Cory. The reason why this brush works so well with heavier coverage foundations is that it has a rather big but fluffier head, so the minerals get to be evenly distributed on the face and don't look cakey at all. It is effortless to apply heavier coverage foundations with this flat top, and Lisa's price is so reasonable, how could I resist?

Those eyeshadow samples in cute little flip tops are actually freebies, so thanks so much Lisa! I am liking the eyeshadows, they are neither too shiny, too light nor too dark. They are just perfect especially for everyday application. My ultimate fave is Sugarpeach Beige. The texture is more satiny than shimmery, it reminds me of an old mineral shadow I have from Taylormade Minerals called Amazon, and it was a beautiful satiny butter-peachy-beige, just like Sugarpeach B. I like that I can wear it as a wash on the lids without looking too garish or shiny.

It's not obvious in the swatches, but Sugarpeach Beige's texture is different from most of the samples I've tried. As I said, it is more satiny, not matte but definitely not shimmery, very creamy on the lids and is a breeze to apply.

A few entries down, I said that I would be roadtesting the shades I received from Earthen Glow Minerals. I tried the Janelle shade, and surprisingly, I've gotten a pretty good match on my first try. I will be testing the others and would see which one would suit me best.

Here is a look featuring the MMBB shadows and EG foundation.

I have been reading your blog regularly for a couple of months now, and I really enjoy it. I must say that this foundation looks like one of the best matches I have seen on you in a while. Seems a perfect blend. As a former makeup artist and beauty writer, i love reading about other beauty lovers too, and yours is a great read!

I would imagine you are very photogenic anyway...without the makeup! Curious as to whether or not you have tried SunCatNaturals Mineral Makeup. I REALLY like their full coverage foundation - you should try it. I would be curious how you like it.
