I've been trying out Pure Anada for more than a month now, and the more I use it, the more I'm really liking the awesome coverage and finish. I liken the finish to liquid foundation I used in the past but would no longer use. I didn't like the uncomfortable feeling liquid foundation gave me. I hated the feeling of melting foundation on my face, the itchy, icky, sticky feeling, especially during summer. It also made me look like a grease bomb in less than an hour.
This mineral foundation gives the dewy finish liquid foundation is known for, but it likewise gives amazing coverage, fantastic staying power, and very light feel that mineral makeup often provides. Honestly, this is the most "liquid foundation-esque" among the mineral makeup I've tried. This may or may not be good, especially if you have very oily skin. However, I have combination skin and I really like it. It just gives a certain luminosity to the skin, a dewy appearance, but I wouldn't say greasy at all. I just touch up with oil-blotting sheets and I'm good for the rest of the day.
Also, some of the dewy mineral foundations I've used have very sheer coverage. Pure Anada not only provides a dewy complexion, but it also has amazing coverage. This kind of coverage ensures that the staying power of the foundation is also quite good.
I believe I was using a 50-50 mix of Pure Anada in Golden Harvest and Flaxen Field. I like the yellow tones in Golden Harvest as it conforms to match my skintone.
I'm wearing Pure Anada in straight Flaxen Field, and LaurEss matte blush in True Love, topped with Dayna's Minerals Glow in Violet Vesper. I'm wearing MAC lipstick in Twig-Twig topped with MAC lipglass in Starlet Kiss.
Here I used a mix of Flaxen Field and Mountain Sunset. The latter is a deeper shade, and it looks weird that ir matched my skintone in this picture, but in real life, it was way too dark.

Wow, the Flaxen Field/Golden Harvest looks like a perfect match!I always admire how you find the right shades for your colouring...it´s always "trial and error" for me..
I really like your eye make up in combination with the lipstick in that last pic.Do you think Pure Anada is suitable for dry skin?
Eva
Thanks Jamie! For the life of me, though, I can't remember the name of the lipstick/gloss. =D
Eva- thank you! I believe it is suitable for dry skin because I read people with dry skin use this, and the dewy finish is actually good for drier skin.

hello, just would like to ask if you're applying Pure Anada dry or are you using wet application? Thanks. :) Been reading through your blog and finding it really helpful.. I am not used to wearing MU, but slowly easing into it. :)
dear: thank you! I would suggest try meowcosmetics.com, jlynne.com, or buffd.com. You can also try joppaminerals.com (soft or full coverage), or dreamworldminerals.com or lauress.com. I have a comprehensive review of mineral makeup foundations I've tried, you can check it out under Labels on the right-hand side of this screen.
musichelle- thank you! I use Pure Anada wet, but I apply a miniscule amount because a little really goes a long way. :)
