Aromaleigh Gothic Lolita and Elemental Lustre Shadows

Gothic Lolita

Elemental Lustre

Organizing samples is easy using my magnetic photo album.

I got all samples of Aromaleigh Gothic Lolita and Elemental Lustre mineral shadows and I LOVE the vibrancy of the colors and the beautiful pigments. If I were to choose though, I'd prefer the Gothic Lolita over Elemental Lustres because the latter are just a little too foil-like for my taste. They are still very workable and blendable, though, and I will still use my samples because they are admittedly very pretty and I don't want to waste money and product. Gothic Lolita is a winner collection, however. The pigments are just beautiful and very vibrant. I created two looks using these two collections. I also used Pure Hue and Eye Lustre collection eyeshadows. The following look is a lot brighter in real life.

Eyes:
MAC Beige-ing shadestick on lid, lower lashline and smoothed on brows as base
MAC Cash Flow paint pot on lid
Aromaleigh Pure Hue mineral eyeshadow in 14K foiled on lid and inner lower lashline
Aromaleigh Eye Lustre mineral eyeshadow in Chloe foiled on mid lid
Aromaleigh Gothic Lolita mineral eyeshadow in Strawberry Despair (I am SO getting a full-size jar of this!) on outer lid and on outer lower lashline
MAC Femme-Fi eyeshadow to highlight and on tearducts
MAC Blacktrack fluidline to line
MAC Brownborder technakohl liner on waterline
Rimmel and MAC mascaras
Red Cherry falsies #66

Face:
Camellia Rose skin-smoothing primer
Buff'd mineral foundation in Chamois and Almond (70-30 mix)
Dermablend Quickfix stick concealer in Ivory
Bare Escentuals mineral veil
MAC blush in Spaced Out (Neo Sci-Fi)

Lips:
Rimmel Epic lipliner
MAC lipstick in Touch
MAC lipglass in Orangedescence

In this second look, I used Elemental Lustres in Entangle, Seethe and Underworld. I didn't like the result as much because it looked unblended, but guess the eyeshadows were too flashy and clashed with the flash. I did love the colors, though. I will try the other colors and see if they would look a little bit better.

I am also going back to more colorful eyeliners. My favorite mineral liners are Meow's Feliners. I think I have samples of almost all of the Feliner variants, and full sizes of Sweaty Paws, a beautiful platinum, and Purr, the one I'm wearing in the following look. I like the fact that these eyeliners really make the eyes pop. I love Meow's Feliners because they are very vibrant, easy to apply, and staying power is great. I can't wait to try the rest of my samples.

Just a last note, I found this gem at Michael's for $0.69. It's a palette to mix paints for artists, and I found it at the art supplies aisle. It is perfect for mixing loose mineral shadows and pigments with my MAC mixing medium. It makes my eye makeup application so much more convenient, especially if I am dealing with samples in baggies. I just sprinkle a tiny bit in each receptacle, and add mixing medium. I can mix several colors in one go. Yay!

OMG i got that exact same palette at national bookstore for 7pesos 2 weeks ago! great minds think alike, hehehe.

Very nice FOTDs, i especially love the first look, it is flawless as always. I think the foundation also matches you very well and makes your skin glow. Very creamy too!

Hi Aileen! How are you? I love this look btw! Haha I actually was into mineral makeup for awhile now, using Silk Naturals, Mad Minerals, and Pure Luxe, I just got tired of mixing my own foundation so I am venturing out to try other ones and so far I like Fyrinnae's and Joppa's, still have Buff'd to try!

Crazy how addicting everything is!

Hi Nessa! Thank you but I love your looks even more! =D Just very busy but I really like how you're into MMU now. I like Joppa too, the finish is very smooth. The reason why I am not using SN now is that I find it very light in coverage, but it's the perfect product for me for touch-ups. Take care and I'll see you on your blog!
