I use different techniques when I use different kinds of eyeshadows and pigments for the eyes. I use a specific set brushes for my MAC shadows and use a different one for my minerals and loose pigments. Last week, I made a silver and grey tutorial, but this time I'm showing how I do my eyes using loose, mineral pigments. I usually apply my pigments foiled or used with a dampened brush, while I always apply my MAC shadows dry. That said, the technique I use is slightly different. This time I used mostly She Space pigments. I love Heather's pigments because they are very pigmented especially when foiled, have a myriad of beautiful shades to choose from, and they are not very difficult to blend.
All products are She Space unless otherwise stated. I foiled all pigments using my MAC mixing medium:
First, apply MAC Beige-ing shadestick as a base from lid to brows and lower lashline (apply a thin film over brows so that brow powder/pencil will last the whole day). Foil Warm & Fuzzy (velvet) and apply on lid using a shader brush (MAC 239 or anything similar). Don't worry if there are harsh edges; they will be blended later.
Foil Rocked By Love using the same shader brush on outer lid.
Using the crease brush by Essence Of Beauty, foil Lucifer's Chariot on the outer V and crease. Use a dry crease brush to blend Lucifer's Chariot and Rocked By Love.
It should look like this so far.
Using large fluffy brush from Essence of Beauty, soften harsh lines. Using same fluffy brush, apply Moonlight Whimsy from inner corners of eyes traveling up to the browbone to highlight. Apply liner, mascara, fill in brows, apply falsies (used Ardell #106), apply MAC Blacktrack fluidline over lashline. Apply MAC pigment in Lily White on inner half of lower lid, and Rocked by Love on outer half of lower lid.
I used DreamWorld's Athena foundation, but I mixed it with my Theia foundation in the Luna formula because I thought it would be too light or too shimmery? It turned out it wasn't glowy at all, and I think this mix was a little off. I will try to use straight Athena next time before I give an in-depth review of this new foundation from Ellie. So far, I am really loving all her foundations.
