My full-size pots of DreamWorld Minerals foundation finally arrived, as well as my mix-and-match pixie sampler set (which has been recently discontinued). I really love this brand's foundation, definitely holy grail material. I love the smooth finish, the soft-looking glow-from-within look it imparts (which diffuses light and blurs imperfections and fine lines), and the very forgiving shades. I am likewise crazy about the fantastic coverage and great staying power. Ellie has a definite winner in her foundation formulas. I ordered full sizes of Theia and Minerva in the Luna formula (full coverage formula), as well as a mix-and-match pixie set of my yellow-toned foundations, this time in the Sands formula (medium coverage). Since the shades are very forgiving, I tried another mix today, this time using 50-50 mix of Tethys and Themis, and it was spot-on again. I wasn't able to take pictures of my face but it looked even and my neck and face were of the same shade.
See how similar her yellow-toned foundations are? I think I can wear any of these shades in different custom mixes, or I can even wear them straight.
Ellie sent me generous samples of her new Athena foundation in both Luna and Sand formulas. She said that this is pretty as an evening foundation, probably because I can detect a very subtle shimmer in the pots. I can't wait to wear this, it looks beautiful and the shade is a pretty close match.
I got samples of DreamWorld's eyeshadows and I was amazed at the generous size of these samples - definitely not just a tiny pinch of minerals that can hardly last you an application or two. These samples are enough for several applications, just enough times to experiment using different combinations of colors, in order for you to decide if you really want that particular shade or not. For a buck each, the price is more than reasonable. Second, the colors are vibrant, gorgeous and rich - even without an eyeshadow primer/base, which surprised me as well.
These shadows were applied without any base/primer. I love all the colors, especially the ones named after saints and the gorgeous Tiger Lily.
I also got the popular Sirens of the Seas trio eyeshadow, and I really love the colors, especially the smokey green.

Beautiful! Thank you for all your wonderful reviews and swatches.
I love Dreamworld Minerals and Ellie is awesome. :] Tiger Lily is a GORGEOUS color. Thanks for swatching her shadows, it's really helpful. :]
Hi again,
This is a question about something not related to this post. Have you heard of the mineral company CMH essential, mineral makeup store. I was searching for makeup info and their website was the first hit. It looks okay but I am a newbie when it comes to mineral makeup.
Any thoughts?
Thanks
titty- thank you! :)
Christiana-we seem to have the same preferences when it comes to mineral makeup. True, Ellie is the best. She's a real doll and she really bends over backwards for her customers. I can't rave enough about her wonderful foundation as well. It has just the right amount of creaminess and coverage without being cakey. Love, love it. :)
black berry- I'm sorry but I've never heard of that mineral brand. Thanks for the heads-up, though.
