Regular readers might know about my undying devotion to MAC's mineralize skinfinishes ("MSFs"). I love these shiny, almost glowing orbs, so much so that I have every MSF MAC has come up with except the elusive, much-coveted and insanely priced Pleasureflush, as every vulture on eBay wants your firstborn in exchange for this rare MSF. I do have the dupe though (German brand Terra Del Sol # 7) so that kind of makes up for it. The minute I saw Laura Geller coming up with a baked makeup set as I was browsing the Sephora site, however, I just knew I had to have it. The set has the same hypnotizing, beautiful swirls of molten metal that I have grown to love in the MSFs. Not only that, it has three beautiful skinfinishes that have different purposes, a baked marble eyeshadow duo, Creamy Black mascara and the very popular (and raved about) Spackle Under Make-up Primer (a huge 1 oz. pot). For $60, I think that's a pretty good deal. I haven't shopped in Sephora for so long, and Laura Geller's Baked to Perfection was the perfect excuse to break the dry spell. The minute I opened the box and swatched the products, I knew I found a real winner in this baked makeup collection.
Set contains: Balance-N-Brighten, Blush-N-Brighten in Roseberry, Ethereal Rose Baked Powder, Creamy Black Mascara, Spackle Under Makeup Primer
I can't wait to roadtest these babies so I can write a review. In the meantime, enjoy the colorful swatches and product pictures. I am likewise including product information contained in the brochure that came with the box:
Each silky powder dome combines a meticulous blend of colors that work together to enhance the nuance of your face, cheeks and eyes. The result is skin-perfecting makeup that brings out the very best in your looks, creating a flawless radiance that is so easy to achieve. In this set you have everything you could want to sweep on a fabulous face. All you need to do is add your favorite lipcolor, and you're done to perfection!
Each member of the Baked to Perfection Collection starts with a swirl of liquid, color-corrective pigments, poured onto terracotta pans, and baked for 24 hours. The result is an extremely fine powder that is silky smooth to the touch, with a dewy fresh look and the ability to adapt to any skin tone. But best of all is the way each blend of colors not only complements any skin tone, but skillfully perfects each individual complexion, correcting anything from sallowness to ruddiness. All are made in Italy, and are perfect for every skin type.
Spackle Under Make-up Primer
The sleek undercoat smoothes and perfects the skin's texture, while acting as a primer to keep makeup fresh and flawless for hours. Formulated with nourishing, soothing botanicals, this oil-free formula is refreshing, lightweight and suitable to all skin.
TO USE: Apply a thin layer to clean, moisturized skin.
Ethereal Rose Baked Powder
Swirls of liquid pinks and pearls impart a veil of radiance to every face. Fluff it over your whole face. Or simply stroke it wherever you'd like a rosey hue. Either way, the result is skin with a fresh, dewy glow.
TO USE: Apply by stroking a powder brush across the powder dome and smoothing it on top of Spackle Under Makeup Primer.
Balance-N-Brighten
This color-corrector powder helps to offset ruddiness, brighten sallowness and even out skin tone. A rich, blendable swirl of warm neutral tans and creams that will become your favorite foundation.
TO USE: Apply by drawing a powder brush across the domed surface and stroke over your entire face. Use on top of Spackle Under Make-up Primer.
Blush-N-Brighten in Roseberry
The pink of perfection for every skin tone. Sheer enough to look natural. Colorful enough to look great! Swirls of pink, berry and gold impart a lovely blush, and the glow of good health.
TO USE: Apply by swirling a powder brush across powder, and sweep from the height of your ears to the apples of your cheeks.
Baked Marble Eyeshadow in Waterlily/Wood Forest
A pair of pigment-rich powders, blended to glide on easily and look luminous.
* Water Lily leaves a sheer metallic pink payoff
* Wood Forest is a deep brown with golden shimmer
TO USE: Apply color by sweeping an eyeshadow brush over either shadow, and stroking it across your entire lid. Or, if you like, smooth Water Lily from lashline to brow, and brush Wood Forest in the crease or outer edges of your eye.
TIP: You may find that Wood Forest is the ultimate liner. With a skinny wet eye liner brush, target the darkest shade and stroke it along your lashline. You'll see your whites look brighter and your eye color appear more intense.
Creamy Black Mascara
Dependable, ultra-rich mascara that colors and conditions for naturally fuller, lusher looking lashes. It gives the finishing flourish to beautiful eyes.
TO USE: Apply by placing brush at the base of your lashes and sweeping up and out.
Aren't the colors just gorgeous, both on skin and in the compacts? Watch out for my review of this collection as soon as I've tried the products out. I can't wait to roadtest these because I totally love the swatches. I've heard amazing things about the Spackle too, so I hope it lives up to the hype.

I was just looking at this set at Sephora yesterday! I'm really loving her baked eyeshadows.
Phoebe, it's even prettier in person! =)
