Shades Of U Contest: Holiday Look # 3 From Valerie

Here's a gorgeous, shimmery, metallic look from Valerie of Cavite, Philippines that is so reminiscent of the holiday season. Here's how she described her entry:

My entry to the contest was inspired by MAC's Antiquitease collection. Aside from that, the Holidays remind me of everything shiny and bright, and metallics too. :) I was planning on greens, since they're reminiscent of Christmas as well. But then again I thought, why not give a twist to neutrals? I hardly wear neutrals, most often preferring bright, bold colors. So overall, this was a real challenge to me. I just amped them (neutrals) up a bit with some glitter and sparkle.

I loved how Valerie incorporated a lot of minerals to her interpretation of holiday makeup. Monave has great mineral foundation that I use during the cooler months, and it provides amazing coverage and the creamiest finish ever (Val's look proves just that). I also find the eyes and lashes so pretty. I wish I can apply and wear falsies like that. I also loved how the eyeshadows were applied sooo immaculately - no smudges, unsullied, uncluttered. Just flawless. The whole look exudes freshness, and her makeup looks so pristine yet festive at the same time. Love it, Val!
