Shades Of U Contest: Holiday Look # 1 From Christine

The time within which to submit holiday looks for Shades Of U's first contest has officially lapsed. First of all, I want to thank everyone who sent her holiday looks; each one was so beautifully and artistically crafted to reflect the spirit of the holiday season. I could really see and feel how well-thought of the concepts were, how diligently these concepts were executed, and how the application was done with utmost care. I want to thank all of you who submitted your lovely holiday looks; I know that you entrusted me with your precious work and I am truly honored and grateful for your trust.

Within the next two weeks, Shades Of U will be featuring one (or perhaps two) entries per day, in the order in which they were received. The Grand Prize winner shall be announced on December 3, 2007 who will receive $75 in MAC goods, and then you dear readers will get to pick our Popular Choice Winner, who shall then receive $35 worth of MAC goods. The Popular Choice Winner shall be announced shortly after the announcement of the Grand Prize Winner.

Let's get the ball rolling, and let me introduce Christine from Angeles City, Philippines who is both the artist and model for the first holiday look. Christine said that when she thinks of the holidays, she is reminded of the traditional green Christmas trees and gold Christmas balls. In her photos she played up her eyes with green and gold colors and toned down her cheeks and lips with neutrals to balance out the look. The photos were taken indoors with natural lighting.
