I was so intrigued by how gorgeous Susanna was able to wear Lumiere's Lumi Lips in Ruby Slippers that I had to try it for myself. It was about time to get a girlfriend for my super-soft but lonely kabuki from Lumiere, anyway. I got my loot and I am so very satisfied with the long-handled kabuki brush. It is the softest kabuki brush I've ever tried, as many Lumiere customers can attest. The synthetic bristles also distribute minerals so flawlessly as well. It's funny that I used to be a synthetic brush snob. I thought that only the best natural sable, squirrel or the exorbitant siberian weasel (think Shu Uemura) hair brushes can apply makeup flawlessly. I was wrong. Lumiere's synthetic brushes are as good or even better at a fraction of the cost. The only downside? It takes a bit longer to dry than natural hair brushes after a wash, but that is such a small price to pay for the awesome application of cosmetics with these brushes. The hairs feel absolutely divine on your skin, you may just find yourself running these brushes across your face again and again. I can just bang my head against the wall for paying three times the price of these for natural hair brushes that are not nearly as luxuriously soft as Lumiere's.
I also tried the Lumi Lips and I am amazed at how pigmented it was. They come in cute squeeze tubes that hold a significant amount of product, so I am very pleased indeed. Kim was kind enough to add some samples of Lumi Lips in Full of Grace and Holy Grail, and these are uber-gorgeous colors as well.
Co-MAC enthusiast Joni was wondering if MAC mineralize skinfinish in Metal Rock would work well with MAC Moonbathe blush in Other Worldly. I had imagined Metal Rock would be too dark, but I tried the combination in the look below. I think it had worked good, but I guess next time I would use Metal Rock to contour instead of using it as a blush under Other Worldly. In any event, I think this pair would be a great combination for summer.

Lumiere started their brush pre-buy today and your reveiw has prompted me to take advantage of this opportunity. I don't own a kabuki and I know I need one, but I can't decide which one to buy! Original Kabuki, Long-Handled Kabuki, Baby Buki, or Long-Handled Baby Buki? Should I also buy a Flat-Top Buffer Brush? Thanks in advance for your advice! http://www.lumierecosmetics.com/index.php?p=catalog&parent=56&pg=1
