My Lure Beauty Haul and MAC Pleasurefush MSF Dupe

I took advantage of Lure Beauty's free shipping policy for orders over $60 and bought a handful of skincare products, exotic body butters and body scrubs. I just received my boxful of goodies via Priority Mail yesterday, and I cannot be more happy with my loot. I ordered skin remodelling copper peptides, Pure Emu oil, Rosemarie mineral blush, Wedding Night Luxurious Whipped Butter sugar scrub, Cucumber and Melons Exotic Butters body cream, Peaches and Cream Exotic Butters body cream, and Doodle Bug Luxurious Body Sugar Scrub. I swear the body products more than exceeded my expectations. The Peaches and Cream body butter smells sooo heavenly! It smells so good, it's almost good enough to eat. I placed the 2 oz trial size in my purse as my hand cream - I only use so little because it's so emollient so this would last me a long time. I loved the Peaches and Cream so much that I quickly snagged a full 8 oz size one from their ongoing 20% off Memorial Day sale. As for the Cucumber and Melons, it feels so good on the body as well, it makes my body feel smooth and buttery. However, I was surprised that it smelled more of cucumbers than melons. I'd like my body butters to smell more of fruits than of vegetables, but other than that, I love Lure Beauty's body butters to bits. I plan on trying the other variants as well.
As for the sugar scrubs, I can definitely understand when it was mentioned on the website that you don't need to apply lotion after your shower when you use these scrubs. They are so moisturizing to the skin! Not to mention that the exfoliating beads leave the body just smooth, soft, and bereft of scaly, dead skin cells. Their descriptions are spot on, as well. Doodlebug has been described as "A fragrance that takes you back in time to childhood, when you didn't know the definition of work! Life was about playing and eating a whole lot of candy. This is an aroma that will allow you to visualize yourself being a young child with a cream soda, a dum dum sucker stuck in your hair, sitting at the picnic table eating a piece of watermelon. Doodle Bug is a blend of cream soda, fresh watermelon slices, hubba bubba bubblegum, with a hint of new born baby. This is a wonderful fragrance for the young and young at heart! Absolutely delicious!! Sugar color is a light lemon-lime green." Just one whiff reminded me of my childhood and those yellow and orange popsicles. I don't know who made these descriptions, but this one is a real enabler and this got me to place Doodle Bug in my shopping cart. I don't regret it, though, I love the scent. I will probably purchase a full-size when I run out. This made me sing Wham's "Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go" (can't you tell I'm an 80's kid?) while in the shower, only to realize that George Michael meant "jitterbug", not "doodlebug", haha.
As for the copper peptides, I am starting on this regimen of copper peptide serum together with Emu oil as my night time routine. Here is the link on how copper peptides can actually help to reduce scars, help in wrinkle reduction, contribute to reducing skin blotchiness, improving skin firmness, and developing new collagen.

If you are a MAC addict, you'd know that the most coveted mineralize skinfinish is Pleasureflush, fetching prices as high as $180 or even $200 on eBay. Even though it is such a gorgeous color, I am not stupid to fall for these crazy prices, and will not buy a piece of makeup for $200. In Germany, though, a fledgling company was able to create an exact dupe of the Pleasureflush, and people are scrambling online, asking for people in Germany to CP (custom-purchase) one for them. If you don't believe my claim that it is an exact dupe of Pleasureflush, or that this dupe is becoming almost as coveted as the original, check this link for comparison swatches and requests for CPs.
A week ago, I just stumbled upon this girl in Germany who was selling this dupe. She was only selling four and I was reading the post and 3 girls already paid. I quickly sent her the money and I think it was meant to be. I just got the Terra Del Sol in the mail and it is so beautiful. If this is how Pleasureflush looked like, then I had snagged one for only $21 including shipping. How great is that?

Have you tried out the Wedding Night yet? I thought about ordering the trial sizes of that scent in the sugar scrub & body cream while they are having the 20% off sale, but was wondering what you thought of them!
I personally like Doodle Bug better because the scent is less heavy. When I mean heavy, it has a more mature scent. Wedding night has sandalwood, musk, and rose notes, so I am not really partial to it. I prefer fruity scents. But if you love floral or musky notes, this is for you!
hey hon!
The only thing I wanted to say was about copper peptides, make SURE that you stop using them once you have seen results, if you keep using it beyond that can actually cause damage. As our skin can only handle so much copper.
But what a Lure Haul you got! LOL
Jen, thanks so much for the advice! I tried it one night with the emu oil, but I have to finish my advanced repair night serum first. I'll keep that in mind! Although I am still getting used to the "slick" of emu oil, I have oily skin already so I really didn't welcome the feeling. =)
I know what you mean, lol
I used to be suchhhhhhh an oil slick!! That is why I don't really like shimmer powders becuase they make me look shiny.
I can put up with illuminizers as long as I only apply them on my cheeks and I wear a matte foundation. Place it anywhere near my t-zone and I'd be a major oil spill LOL
