MAC Coco Pigment and My Meow Haul Part 2

MAC Coco pigment is my favorite pigment ever. I love it so much that I have more than a jarful of it. Anybody who has seen how massive MAC pigment jars are would know that that is a LOT of Coco pigment. Why do I love it? It's basically a very pretty neutral, more of a cool, shimmery taupe. It's the kind of color that I envision myself wearing even when I'm well into my fifties, which explains my huge supply. I can wear this with anything and everything and it will not look out-of-place. It's great with everything from browns to coppers to beiges to bronzes and even black, which is great for a smokey eye look. I wear Coco mixed with my MAC mixing medium to create a shimmery, almost glassy effect. It's shimmery but never gaudy, and wearing it damp also enhances its staying power.

When I arrived home this evening, a very pleasant surprise awaited me. My Meow package was set on our cocktail table containing my full-size summer foundation shades! For those who have no idea what Meow Cosmetics is, it is a mineral makeup company centered around the cat (what else) as its theme. Their full size TUBS of mineral makeup are the biggest full sizes I've ever seen, three times the size of regular full-size mineral makeup jars. I ordered my winter shades last time, hence I cannot use those at the moment. I got my summer shades which were a thrill to open up. I also got four samples of the Cat Eyes mineral shadows. I am just basking in this great mineral makeup goodness.

Say hi kitty: my full size Flawless Feline foundation in Naughty Abyssinian

my free samples of Cat Eyes mineral shadows in Puddy Tat, Declawed, Provocative and Feline Fatale (if these names don't entice you to try Meow, I don't know what will)

my cat family (my other full-size tub is Purrrfect Puss in Naughty Chartreux)

Of course, I wouldn't be bereft of the anticipated comparison pic! Shown are my giant tubs sandwiching my puny (but dearly-loved) full size jar of Lauress foundation

hi i recently found your blog, and i think we have similar skintones. do you happen to know what color you would be in Mac Foundations?

and also, i've only used Bare Escentuals, but i love the concept of mineral makeup, just that i've yet to find the perfect one. out of all the ones you've used (meow, lauress, lumiere, etc), which is your favorite? i hope you don't mind me asking questions =)

Hi! I am an NC30 in MAC, but I don't use their foundations anymore as they are extremely comedogenic on me. As for mineral makeup, my favorite ones for the moment are Monave, Lauress, BE, J.Lynne and Meow. I love that they have shades that suit my color, amazing slip, coverage and finish. Thanks for dropping by! =)
