Zoya Island Fun collection

Summer is upon us, and as always, Zoya comes up with not just six, but twelve searing hot shades for summer.  Zoya usually divides them into two categories: the shimmers and the creams.  I already did a review on the Zoya summer shimmers called Zoya Paradise Sun HERE.  This post is all about the cream collection called Zoya Island Fun.  The creams are vibrant and very pigmented.  Here are my swatches of the Zoya Island Fun, and my thoughts on these.

Zoya Nana

Zoya Nana

Zoya Nana is a bright pink cream that is leaning into the berry side.  Not that unique as I have a lot of colors similar to this in my collection, but the formula is nice and I had no problems in application.

Zoya Talia

Zoya Talia

Zoya Talia is a beautiful teal cream. It is a dream to apply and is perfectly opaque in two thin coats.  I am a little concerned with the staining though.  This stained my nails (as most blue polishes often do), so always apply your base coat prior to applying this.

Zoya Serenity

Zoya Serenity is one of the creamiest blue-based purple polishes I own.  It reminds me of Zoya Malia, but I kinda like Serenity better as it is a tad deeper.

Zoya Demetria

Zoya Demetria

Ugh, I love Zoya Demetria so much!  It is such the perfect poinsettia red cream!  It's a very vibrant red but not a classic, blue based red.  It is on the warm side but not too warm.  I just love it.

Zoya Cecilia

Zoya Cecilia

Zoya Cecilia is similar to Talia, but more green and is the perfect shade for summer.  It also stains like Talia, so be vigilant in applying a base coat.

Zoya Jace

Zoya Jace

Ahh, Zoya Jace.  Fun (not-so-fun during that time) fact: I received two broken bottles of Jace before I received an intact one.  So weird, Zoya never broke on me before!  Zoya Jace is the perfect 70s-inspired green, the kind of green that you would see in a dutch oven or kitchen or bathroom tiles during that era.  Since I like greens, this is such a fun color.

I am really liking the shades of this collection, although I wondered (just like in the Zoya Paradise Sun collection) why there weren't any oranges or corals this Summer 2015 from Zoya.  I guess they had their moments in the past couple of years.  My favorites are Cecilia, Talia, and of course, Serenity.  The cream formula applies great and glides over the nailbed evenly.

Zoya nail polish is available at retail outlets and select salons nationwide, and on their website at zoya.com for $9 each.

Stay tuned for my video review of the Zoya Summer 2015 Island Fun and Paradise Sun collections!
