Faux Tan Body, Faux Tan Face,
bronzer in The High Dive, Warmth

Summer is upon us, and what better way to welcome the summer than to have a SAFE, beautiful tan? We know that embracing the sun would eventually result in photodamage, especially with chronic UVA and UVB exposure. bareMinerals comes up with products that would give beautiful bronze skin without the dangerous photoaging effect.
bareMinerals comes up with two Sunless Body Tanners, one for the body and one for the face. They both have the same textures, colors and finishes, so I am not sure if you can substitute one for the other. However, here are my thoughts on each of these products.
Faux Tan Body
The Faux Tan Body Sunless Body Tanner contains a hefty amount of product; it's 6 fl. oz or 177 ml. Upon contact on the skin, you would immediately see a really thick product colored dark brown. It has the consistency of custard or pudding, and it smells really nice- very similar to those almond jelly desserts from a Chinese bakery or restaurant. When you blend into the skin, it really does give the skin a nice, dark, even bronze color. Unfortunately, I don't use self tanners because I naturally tan during summer, but in my initial roadtest of these, I find that it did not appear splotchy at all on the skin and gave a nice, even coverage.
bareMinerals claims that this product gradually develops into a golden, natural-looking tan that lasts 5-7 days. It has a mineral copper complex that promotes tanning effects, while aloe vera and vegetable-based moisturizing ingredients keep the skin hydrated. bareMinerals suggests to reapply product to build a deeper tan.
For best results, it is recommended that you exfoliate prior to application. Smooth evenly all over the body, and wash hands with soap and water immediately after use to avoid discoloration of hands.
Faux Tan Face
The Faux Tan Face has almost identical properties, texture, consistency and finish as the Faux Tan Body. It comes in a smaller 50 ml/1.7 fl. oz. It is likewise a gradual sunless tanner that has a mineral copper complex and plant-infused emollients to lock in moisture.
I like the cooling feel of this product on the skin. As I said, I naturally tan during the summer, so I was not able to completely roadtest this product as I technically don't need it. However, the finish looks like a really natural-looking tan, and was not splotchy when I tried it on my skin. For those who have a hard time tanning naturally and do not want to risk photodamage, I recommend self tanners that are safe, gradual and moisturizing like these Faux Tan Body and Face Sunless Tanners from bareMinerals.
The best part is that this product does not contain parabens and artificial oils.
It is important to note that these products do NOT contain sunscreen. You need to apply a separate sunscreen to shield your skin from skin-damaging UVA and UVB rays.
The Faux Tan Body Sunless Tanner retails for $26.00, and the Faux Tan Face Sunless Tanner retails for $26.00 on the bareMinerals website.

I love bareMinerals, I really want to try this product.
I get your "daily" blogs and I love them I kinda miss your ratings where you gave products 1-5 out of 5 points. It really gave great sense of the products actual usefulness.
