I am excited to share with you the new NARS Satin Lip Pencils. It's a new line of lip product from NARS that is a lipstick and lipliner in one. I welcome the Satin finish as opposed to the matte pencils from NARS, as the Satin formula gives a really luscious, luminous soft finish without looking dry or flat.
First of all, the packaging is similar to NARS' Velvet Matte lip pencils. They come in chubby pencils that have these rubbery-feeling tubes and caps. Up until this morning, I hated the caps because they wouldn't stay put on the pencil. I just realized that it should be twisted to secure the cap on the product. Duh! That said, you do have to sharpen these when they lose their point.
I gotta say that I LOVE the formula. I like this a lot better than the matte pencils. It doubles as a lipliner, so you don't need to scrounge around for one when you apply the product. They are very easy to apply, they glide like butter on the lips, and gives a very saturated, high impact color with a soft shine satin finish. It has this "moisturized lip" look to it. It has Vitamin E with hyaluronic acid to give the illusion of full lips with a soft shine finish.

NARS Satin Lip Pencil in Rikugien
NARS Rikugien is a soft rose pink. This is your perfect everyday or office shade, but I like to apply this over the darkers shades to tone down the hue.
NARS Satin lip pencil in Luxembourg is your perfect watermelon pink shade. It is very bright and super pigmented. This is my favorite along with Majella. So pretty on the lips!
NARS Satin lip pencil in Majella is so vampy and gorgeous. It is described as a garnet color. It is very color-saturated and vibrant on the lips. This really brightens my complexion. I think this is my top favorite out of the ones I've tried.
All in all, I highly recommend this product, especially if you love really bold lips or soft, neutral shades with soft, satin finish.

Everyone has spoken so highly of these new NARS lipsticks, I might have to pick myself a shade up! Problem is, they're all so pretty, I'm not sure which one I'd like!
