I was able to play around with some Revlon products as part of the Revlon Expression Experiment. Revlon encourages women to think out of the box when it comes to experiencing cosmetics, namely, makeup and nail polish. Revlon also encourages women to experiment and come up with a style that is uniquely theirs. With that in mind, I freed my mind of all trappings of prejudices and fears when it comes to makeup: mainly, that I am a bit intimidated with red lipstick. I came up with a look that not only celebrates red lips, but also made me feel really feminine, fearless, and empowered. I have already previously tried some of the products in the photos above. One of them is the Revlon ColorBurst lip butter that I was such a huge fan of, so much so that I bought twelve different shades and still use them regularly. I also made a review with swatches of the Colorburst lip butters. I love how they are lightweight, silky and smooth on the lips, but they have good pigmentation and can be described as a hybrid of a lip balm and lipstick. Some other products that I was quite impressed with even before doing this experiment were the Revlon ColorStay Long Wear nail enamel base coat and top coat. Seriously, this tandem is the best top coat and base coat I've tried. For a year and a half, my nails were brittle and breaking off at the sides, and my nail polish would chip the day after applying them. After I started using the top coat and base coat, my polish would stay chip-free for days, and my nails are growing healthily again. The best part is that the top coat is almost as fast drying as my previous quick dry top coat, except that Revlon's doesn't make my nail polish peel off in sheets. It is a miracle product for me, no doubt. The nail polish in Apricot is a really pretty orange shade that is perfect for summer.
The Revlon PhotoReady Color Correcting primer and eye primer + brightener are also revelations. The primer helps mattify my skin and even my skintone and texture as it preps the skin for the application of foundation. It blurs imperfections and makes the skin appear flawless (even though it's not!). The eye primer + brightener helps make shadows last without creasing or fading, but I like it better as an undereye brightener, as it makes my eyes look more refreshed. Lastly, below is a video on how I applied my makeup for a dinner date with friends using Revlon products. I used the primer, eye brightener, Revlon ColorStay eye shadow palette in Bombshell, ColorBurst lip butter in Cherry Tart, and Super Lustrous lipstick in Certainly Red. This look certainly made me feel and look good, as I couldn't believe the fact that I do actually look good with red lips! The makeup really made the night and made me confident in having fun with friends.

Don't be afraid to experiment. Revlon encourages each woman to come up with the best version of her self. I am actually glad to have participated in this Revlon Expressions Experiment. It made me discover products I've never tried before, and made me feel confident enough to try different looks, and ultimately, feel comfortable in my own skin.
