I was really looking for a new hair dryer as my old one is already 5 years old and needed to retire. It was perfect timing that I was able to try out this new Conair Volume Boost hair dryer. I have very fine hair so a volumizing hair dryer is everything I need. I love that it has its own volumizing attachment that looks like a giant hair brush. It actually lifts the hair roots to give them lasting volume and shine.

The tool looks sturdy and the handle is the right size for a good grip. It has 3-heat and 2-speed rotary switches. Aside from having the usual Hot, Warm, and Cool controls, it has a COLD button that is truly a cold blast of air, which is pretty nifty. It is also quieter than my old hair dryer and the AC motor is a cool feature. If Conair claims that this AC motor dryer will last 3x more than my old DC motor dryer, then I expect it to last 15 years! :)

I think the best part of this dryer is that it uses ionic ceramic technology that is a big help for those people who are bothered by frizz. It keeps hair in place, volumized and shiny.

I honesty see no downside for this tool, except that it might not be that travel-friendly as it is quite bulky. Also, for $39.99, it is more expensive than most dryers out in the market. Keep in mind the innovative features mentioned above, and decide if they are worth the price.
