MAC Cremeblend Blush Initial Swatches and Review

Top: Brit Wit, So Sweet So Easy
Bottom: Ladyblush
I am in love with these new and improved MAC cream blushes called Cremeblend blushes. Honestly, around five years ago, I used to own Brit Wit in the old formula. It broke me out. Terribly. The formula was sticky, messy, greasy. I swore never to use cream blushes from MAC ever again.

Now, I am eating my words, mainly because MAC's formulation has changed. These new Cremeblend blushes feel firm in the pots unlike the old cream blushes that were soft and mushy. These are firm but creamy; when you swipe the surface with your finger, it's very easy to get a fair amount of product. It applies the product like a dream, glides like butter. It is not splotchy at all, I just love the finish! It gives a gorgeous, lit-from-within look. Check out the swatches to see for yourself. These are my new favorite cream blushes. I like to bring cream blushes for travel because you don't need a separate brush to apply them, you just need clean fingers. These are great to freshen up your makeup and to give a pop of color to sallow complexions.
As you can see, my Ladyblush is sweating, which is probaby due to a change in temperature. The other two looked immaculate, which is a little puzzling to me.
I also like the fact that I have found the perfect brush to apply these pretties:
Adorned With Grace small duo fiber
L-R: MAC 187, Adorned With Grace small duo fiber
L-R: Adorned With Grace small duo fiber, MAC 187
The Adorned With Grace premium small duo fiber is the perfect dupe for the MAC 188 brush, but more affordable. This was a media sample that was sent to me by Adorned With Grace, and now I have the perfect use for it. You can stipple the cremeblend blush on your skin to create the perfect lit from within look, or you can always use clean fingers.
Here are some swatches:
L-R: Ladyblush, Brit Wit, So Sweet, So Easy
Added some more Brit Wit to show heavier application
My favorite now is Brit Wit. I did a complete 180-degree turn on this one. I hated it with a passion after it broke me out in 2006, but now I love it. So far, no breakouts yet, and it stayed on my cheeks the whole day! Pretty impressive for a cream blush. I did set my makeup with my trusty Fix+ spray, which I'm sure contributed to the blush's staying power. It is also advised to apply a bit of translucent powder over cream blush to set the makeup. Brit Wit is a dusty rosey mauve that complements my skintone. For lighter complexions, this might be a good contour color if you apply it a little heavier.
So Sweet, So Easy is a bright yellow pink that would give you the perfect doll cheeks. If you find it too pink, you can always mix two colors or add a bronzer to warm up the skin. Perfect for lighter and cooler skintones.
Ladyblush is another fave. It is a warm neutral coral that would be perfect for spring and summer. I have a lot of corals but the neutral take on this coral is a plus.
All in all, I appreciate the new lighter, less sticky formula of these Cremeblend blushes. I like that it can be blended with a finger or brush and create a lit-from-within look. I also like the non-formal finish of the cream blushes. Perfect for a beach outing or a warm sunny day. I also like the portability as you don't really need a brush to apply the cream blushes. Do check out these new ones and see if you find something that interests you. Right now, Brit Wit is my top choice, next would be Ladyblush and Posey.
The Shades Of U Rating: 4.5 out of 5 stars

Ladyblush looks really flattering! Bit odd that it's the only one that's sweating though, haha.
