Flash and Sparkle by Zoya - available APRIL 1, 2010

I have been a fan of Zoya since I tried their nail polish last year. I am loving the rich formula that is such a dream to apply. I have a few of their collections in my nail polish stash, but when I saw the Flash collection, I just had to have it, so I bought this set on the Zoya website. I am such a sucker for cream polishes and the colors are so bright and cheerful, they really do scream "summer!". Here are some swatches and my thoughts on these.

Dana

Lovely color.  It is a rose cream that looks more like fucshia on my tips.  Love the brightness of the shade and yet the rose color lends a romantic, feminine look to it.

Jancyn

Tangerine creaaaam!! I like that this is not a dark orange because those shades hate my skintone. This is the perfect summer nail polish because it is just so pretty and bright and happy!

Maura

I think this is my least favorite. I am not too fond of the "electric crimson" color because I feel it might be too warm on my skintone. I would like to try using this as a pedicure color, though. It might work better.

Jolene

Pretty barbie color. The description is spot-on. This is THE perfect summer pink. Can't look at it without thinking of cotton candy. What I like about this is that it doesn't look like Pepto Bismol on my nails (trust me, I owned a nail polish that looked like PB and it looked nasty). This is also one of my favorites.

Robyn

Turquoise? Yeah but it's also a robin's egg shade on steroids, hence probably the name. It is such a lovely, lovely blue. I don't know why I am currently drawn to blue polishes when I used to hate them before. Anyways, these would look great on your piggies or tips while lounging by the pool. Perfect beach shade.

Perrie

My favorite of them all because I love purples. This is such an amazing color, close to Malia but I still prefer Malia over this, but Perrie is a close second. It is indeed a soft lavender that is more spring than summer to me, but I'd wear this baby year-round.

All in all, I am liking the formula of this set.  It didn't frustrate me by streaking, and it had just the right consistency (neither too thick nor too runny), and this was just a dream to apply.  Since I love creams, these are totally up my alley.  Staying power is also good; overall, simply good quality polishes.

I love Dana and Jolene, they're so pretty. But then I'm a sucker for pink polishes. :)

I actually asked for Perrie in my nail polish exchange :) This will be the first time I've used Zoya but I can't wait to get my 7 colors :)
