I was able to try some of the polishes from the China Glaze Up & Away collection. Let me say that formula-wise, I am really, really loving this bunch. Creme is hands-down my favorite nail polish formula, the more opaque and the glossier, the better. Well, those two requirements were fulfilled by Up & Away. These polishes glided on the nails like a dream, have very good opacity, and didn't streak in my experience. I also love all the pastels and brights, and I think this is the very first time that I will be getting all the polishes in one collection. That really just means one thing: I am smitten.
Heli-Yum is a warm raspberry pink that looked great in pics with flash, but in reality, it didn't look that nice on my skintone, which was a bummer. I guess the warm undertones clashed with mine. I keep saying that cool-toned polishes look better on my hands, which is probably the reason why I am not loving this as much as I'd want to. However, the formula is creme heaven, applies easily and opacity is amazing.
Flyin' High is deeper than your regular robin's egg blue, but lighter than your regular teal. It is similar to China Glaze's Shower Together in color. Again, I fell in love with the formula. This is definitely a true creme, and as I said, this is my favorite nail polish formula, so I am really so excited to own this.
All in all, I think this is one of China Glaze's best collections, if not THE best, and that's because I am a creme lover. I love the pigmentation. These really scream "opaque!" through and through. This is exactly the kind of formula I like in nail polish: rich, thick, easy to apply, creme, and most of all, amazingly pigmented. I cannot wait to get my hands on the other colors!
The Shades Of U rating: 4.99999 out of 5 stars (not a perfect 5 because Heli-Yum didn't look that nice on my skintone). But this collection is way off the charts and almost perfect!

Ha! Join the club :) Will buy the whole collex too! :)
They both look gorgeous, esp Heli-Yum!
Just a few days ago, I ordered 6 polishes from this collection. It was difficult not to order more, but I had to restrict myself to 6 since shipping doubles from $16 to $32 if I ordered above 6. That's cuz I live in France and we don't have China Glaze and I had to order from 8ty8beauty.com or something like that. And I do think that Heli-Yum looks good on your hands!
I am so anxious to start seeing this collection in stores, I want to get all the colours! It's like torture with all the pretty pics that I'm seeing on the internet. I know I could just order them online, but I'm hoping they show up somewhere here soon!
lelila- yeah four leaf clover is on the top of my list!
mhean- exactly, a deeper version of FA!
belle- swatches when you get them please!
gio- They are gorgeous, and yes, even Heli-Yum!
Sylvie- aww thanks. I didn't like it under natural light, but maybe because that day was overcast. I'll see if I change my mind about it.
So Very Fabulous- i agree, if only the pop up in stores earlier, I won't have to pay for outrageous shipping costs. The price of being too impatient!
Yay! I ordered two shades: High Hopes and Four Leaf Clover, and I got them yesterday! They look so lovely, especially the coral one. Can't wait to put them on.
